- Abstract:
- Measurement is assumed to be the most reliable means of acquiring information on physical reality. What are the logical foundation of this conviction, and how they should be integrated in the syllabi of measurement-related courses? Abstract thinking has been considered a cornerstone of Latin civilisation. Are we facing the crisis of this paradigm in higher engineering education? These are only two among several aspects of facing reality that are analysed in this paper.
